GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The MCV Truck Chassis Mounted 13 Mtr Sky-Lift (Hydraulic Aerial Access Platform) shall be rugged, durable, and efficient and shall incorporate the latest technological features. Conform to the best practice known to the body fabrication Trade in design, quality of material and workmanship. Assemblies, sub-assemblies, components and accessories shall be standard and interchangeable details as under-.

BOOM

There will be Two Booms shall be made of structural steel duly painted. The Lower Boom is attached to the cradle fixed on the turn table assembly. Upper Boom is attached on the lower and other end carries the Workmans cage. Leaving rod system shall pass externally along both the booms to keep the platform vertical in all position.

DRIVE

Power for the hydraulic platform is provided by a hydraulic pump driven from chassis power take off unit only. PTO Make IPH Make, The pump is of ample and sufficient output for normal smooth operation of the platform with low engine speed.

HYDRAULIC CYLINDER

There will be 02 heavy duty hydraulic cylinders for lifting the booms and 02 Nos for stabilizer made of out of honed medium carbon seamless steel pipes. The rams will be duly ground and chrome plated. The piston of the hydraulic cylinder will incorporate chevron packing. Make of Cylinder M/s KD hydraulic, the cylinder shall be single stage double acting provided with load holding valves to eliminate any possibility of creep. Similarly, there shall be two cylinders for stabilizers.

PERSONNEL CAGE

A special designed reinforced fibre basket of suitable size as per norms shall be provided. The cage shall have opening on three sides for entrance and exit, leveling rod made from steel tube provided in order to give positive leveling and to avoid swinging and frequent adjustment of the cage. The basket shall be insulated to withstand1100 volts. The basket shall be designed to carry a safe working load of 180 kgs
